Rangel to step aside until after elections

Are we to assume, then, that after the elections (if democrats still control the House) that Rep. Charles Rangel will re-assume his post as the chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee?  This is Hypocrisy in action folks.  The man is corruption on a stick and his only regret is that his corrupt actions will hurt the Democrats during the election.  Of course only THIS time he was busted for ethics violations.

But this is still a serious blow to the Dems credibility (if they had any left) leaving the people of the US the choice of sending them back to power in 2010 or to unseat them and put the GOP back in power.  It’s not a happy predicament to be in, but at this point I’d say you have to unseat the Dems and hope there are enough new Republicans to form some kind of ethical, efficient Congress… fingers crossed eh?

Of course if the Dems return to power, we will no doubt see Rep. Rangal back atop his position of power in the House.  You know its all about winning elections and not about whats right for the people.
